A Chorus Line: Teen Edition is a full-length version of the Pulitzer Prize-winning musical, adapted for performance by high school students with family audiences.A Chorus Line is a stunning concept musical capturing the spirit and tension of a Broadway ensemble audition. Exploring the inner lives and poignant ambitions of professional Broadway performers, the show features one powerhouse number after another, including “What I Did for Love,” “One,” “I Can Do That,” “At the Ballet,” “The Music and the Mirror” and “I Hope I Get It.” A brilliantly complex fusion of song, dance and compellingly authentic drama, the show was instantly recognized as a classic.


A Chorus Line premiered off-Broadway at The Public Theater on April 15, 1975. Directed by Michael Bennett, the original production featured Kelly Bishop (billed as Carole Bishop), Priscilla Lopez, Robert LuPone, Donna McKechnie and Sammy Williams. The show soon transferred to Broadway, opening at the Shubert Theatre on July 25, 1975. The original production ran for 6,137 performances, becoming the longest-running show in Broadway history on September 29, 1983.


FCT's production of the musical A Chorus Line Teen Edition is Directed by Camden Gillespie, Music Director Nick Villacorte, and Choreographer Abby Chaumont. The production is with special permission by Concord Theatricals, Inc.
