How to get there
Dirty Work at the Crossroads is a comedic melodrama that tells in laughable style the tear jerking story of Nellie Lovelace, a country girl. Munro Murgatroyd is the classic villain in the play who is intent on selling some land underhandedly to the railroad. He has a wife Ida Rhinegold, belle of the New Haven Music Halls, but that does not prevent him from trying to pursue Nellie. Nor does it prevent him from driving Adam Oakhart, the blacksmith's son to vices, or from blackmailing rich Mrs. Asterbilt, or from bewitching her daughter, Leonie. Enjoy some laughter and find out what happens at the crossroads! The play is directed by Marty Kelly, written by Bill Johnson, and produced by special arrangement with Concord Theatricals on behalf of Samuel French, Inc.
